Ce petit objet relate une célèbre anecdote de l’histoire de l’art du 20e siècle. En 1953, le jeune artiste Robert Rauchenberg va trouver Willem de Kooning pour lui demander de lui donner l’un de ses dessins qu’il va ensuite effacer. Cette œuvre s’intitulera Erased De Kooning.

This small object refers to a famous anecdote form the history of art of the 20th century. In 1953, the young artist Robert Rauchenberg met Willem de Kooning and asked him to give him one of his drawings, which he then erased. This piece became Erased De Kooning.
